You want to download a package to work in Studio, but when attempting to download a package for a task you have accepted in your Inbox, you get the following error:

 

Workaround 1: Open in Studio

If you are able to, use the Open in Studio function. It will automatically open the project in Studio (assuming Studio is signed into your Language Cloud account) and you will be able to work on it there. This is the preferred option as the projects resources (translation memories and termbases) will be immediately available.

Workaround 2: Download an SDLXLIFF and open it in Studio

Download and open the SDLXLIFF(s)

1. Go to Inbox -> Active.
    
2. Tick the box next to the task you want to work on.
    
3. Click More Actions -> Download (1).
   
   
    
4. Untick the box next to Source files (1) and then click Download (1).
   
   
    
5. You will be give a ZIP file to download. Save it and then open it.
    
6. Within the ZIP you will see the language code of the target language. Double-click it.
   
   
    
7. Right-click the SDLXLIFF file and choose Copy.
   
   
    
8. Right-click Desktop on the left-hand side of the File Explorer window and choose Paste.
   
   
    
9. Use Windows File Browser to navigate to your Desktop folder and double-click the SDLXLIFF file to open it in Studio. When you have finished translating the file, make sure you save it.
    

Download and convert offline resources

SDLXLIFF files do not contain translation memories or termbases. If you need any of these resources then please follow the instructions in the articles below:

Upload the modified SDLXLIFF

1. Go to Inbox -> Active in Language Cloud.
    
2. Tick the box next to the task.
    
3. Choose More Actions -> Replace file (1).
   
   
    
4. Either drag the SDLXLIFF file you were working on from your Desktop to the browser window, or use the browse link and locate the file manually.
    
5. When the file has uploaded, click Next.
   
   
    
6. Tick the box next to the task and choose Replace and Complete.
   
   
    
7. Wait until the STATUS of the file is Replaced and completed, and then click Save for later. The file will move to the next stage in the workflow.

The Project Service is a 32-bit application, thus if total size of the files and resources in the package it is creating is too big, it will run out of memory. A 64-bit version is currently being worked on, and is expected to be released soon.
