After you have downloaded the installer file for License Server Manager v17.0.134 from your RWS account > Products & Plans > Downloads you start the installation process. The installation wizard starts and, when it gets to the step saying "Processing: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8", after a few seconds it stops and it throws the following error message: Setup Failed. Solution 1 Install the latest version of License manager 18.0.79 instead of License manager 17.0.134 Solution 2 Try to separately install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 by downloading an online or offline installer from Microsoft official website. If this install fails as well check that you have the latest updates installed for your operating system on the server and these are compatible with Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8. Solution 3 If, for security or any other reasons, you cannot install updates for you operating system go for the manual installation of the License Server Manager v17.0.134. 1. Go to: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache 2. Open "{18F87D20-397A-443E-B6BB-502A3280F16C}v17.0.134" folder and run the LicenseManager.msi file. 3. Open "{949CAEC7-421B-4CA2-9DA5-E37C53A703C1}v10.0.0" folder an run the Sentinel RMS License Manager 10.0.0.msi file. Note*: If the above mentioned folders are not deployed in C:\ProgramData\Package Cache please open a Support case and we will provide them for you. If you don`t have SMA and you can`t open a Support Case please contact us on Communities. 4. Install the License Server Manager by double clicking on the LicenseManager.msi (wait for the installation of this first installer to finish) and then double click on the Sentinel RMS License Manager 10.0.0.msi 5. If necessary perform offline activation for your Trados Studio Network license. Online activation most probably won't be possible.
