- A CAL for TM Server is consumed each time a connection is made to the server, i.e. when opening at least one Translation Memory for translation and review, and until the user closes the client, like the default Trados Studio application or manually clears the connection details.
- A CAL for Project Server is consumed each time a user accesses Project Server related data, i.e. during these scenarios, when a user...:
- ...publishes a project to a Project Server instance with Trados Studio.
- ...works in a Trados Studio instance that has already at least one server-based project added to the list of projects in the “Projects” view (and confirms to log into the Project Server instance).
- ...opens a server-based project.
- ...logs into the Trados GroupShare web interface and opens the “Projects” view.
- A CAL for MultiTerm Server is consumed each time a connection is made to the server, i.e. when opening at least one Termbase for translation and review, and until the user closes the client, like the default Trados Studio and MultiTerm applications or manually clears the connection details.
- A CAL for the Online Editor is used when launching the web application in the browser.
All
CALs are continued to be in use for at least up to five minutes of user/client application inactivity.
