Error when trying to start Trados GroupShare MultiTerm Matrix Cache & TM Service Host from the Services window. Windows could not start the SDL MultiTerm Matrix Cache Service service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. And also error: Error accessing settings.xml file |
Solution 2.1. Log in into the GroupShare application server with the Trados GroupShare Service User and check that each GS service is ran with this user. 2. Check in the Trados GroupShare Console under Databases that the correct SQL server name and databases are defined for both Trados GroupShare System Database and MultiTerm Master Database. You will need to Apply Changes in case you added the missing information. This will restart all Trados GroupShare services. 3. In case you receive the error message Error accessing settings.xml file, go to C:\Program Data\SDL\SDL MultiTerm\MultiTermX\ (where X is the Trados GroupShare version: e.g. 14 is for GS 2017, 15 is for GS2020) and rename the Settings.xml file (e.g. OLD_Settings.xml) then repeat Step 2. |
