We are encountering performance issues while translating or creating Studio projects when the Translation Memory (TM) attached to the project exceeds 100.000 Translation Units (TUs). What can we do to avoid this situation?
 

SDL recommends to use a maximum of 100.000 TUs per file-based Translation Memory. To achieve this Translation Memory size, you can split a larger TM into several smaller TMs using the export filter as explained in the article below. You can have several TMs that you add to your project as reference, for Look-Up only, and have the current TM that you use for updates.

How to split a Translation Memory in SDL Trados Studio
