To only display hotfixes for a particular version, steps to take are: - Click the search button to display all hotfixes. - Type a version such as "Web 8.1.1" in the "Filter on Version" field, and then select this version.
APAC & EMEA customers & partners can now find all Cumulative Updates & Hotfixes under the \software\ directory of your FTP account. If you are unsure of what your credentials are please open a support case and we will happily provide you with your credentials.
NASA The previous FTP server is no longer available, and all usernames and passwords have changed. It is not currently possible to download hotfixes proactively from the FTP server (article updated November 2020); please submit a ticket to SDL Support to verify new account details and request a hotfix be uploaded.
Aside from the availability of the hotfixes themselves, Support is occasionally asked whether hotfixes should be applied proactively.
Some customers do indeed apply hotfixes proactively, others roll hotfixes into regular downtime/maintenance windows, still other customers only apply hotfixes when directly applicable to a known issue. Support generally recommends that customers be aware of hotfixes so that they can choose a level of proactiveness which meets their business and maintenance requirements.
It is good practice to maintain a list of hotfixes (or at minimum a folder which holds all deployed hotfixes to a server) for situations when for troubleshooting purposes Customer Support need to identify all deployed hotfixes.
