When trying to open a project or project package by double-clicking it, Trados Studio is displaying the following message during the startup (or opening process): |
Solution 1: Restart Trados Studio
Afterwards the message may not appear anymore, because the closing process of Trados Studio saved all settings and changes properly. Solution 2: Recreate the projectIf the problem persists after you restart Trados Studio, project you are trying to open is most likely corrupted/damaged and requires to be re-created. During the recreation you can run the Pre-translate Files batch task using the Translation Memory that probably already contains the previously translated segments. Or you can run the batch task Apply Perfect Match and use the SDLXLIFF files from the target language folder of your original project.Further informationYou can add file extension exceptions to your AntiVirus/Firewall list, to prevent the problem from reoccurring in the future. Usually this message appears when settings/options (especially for File Types) are changed but for some reason not initialized properly by Trados Studio. Other causes where this error appears while opening a project (-package): - Project (-package) got corrupted during transfer from one PC to another, or due to an application/system crash - Project (-package) got corrupted due to a restrictive Anti-Virus/Protection software that considered it a thread and tried to delete "affected" parts |
