Error message "Can not connect to GroupShare! An unknown error occurred!" when trying to connect/login to SDL Trados GroupShare 2017 (or higher)

Symptoms/Context
Browsing to the GroupShare WebUI using the IP Address e.g. http://34.5.67.89/ and try to log in with any user credentials will return the following error message:
Can not connect to GroupShare! An unknown error occurred!
Resolution
Use Server Address Name instead of IP Address
Instead of entering the IP Address in the browser address line, enter the full name of the server (or full name of the address that is reachable from outside the company network)
Root Cause
This is caused when as server address in the address line of the web browser instead of the written server address the IP address is used.
