It takes a long time to Start session in the MultiTrans Client. |
1- Please check MultiTrans Client > Preferences > Configure Server... In the list of Known Servers, if there is a LOCAL entry, this means that the Client full install was done. If the client is not using Local TextBases, the LaunchServerProcess registry key should be disabled: Procedure to disable LaunchServerProcess Open the Registry Editor program then edit the DWORD registry key called "LaunchServerProcess" found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Donnelley\MultiTrans Pro (on a 64-bit operating system) or found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Donnelley\MultiTrans Pro (on a 32-bit operating system).
2- The slowness could occur when the SQL Server (MULTITRANS) service is stopped therefore all local TextBases could not be loaded. You can check this in your Windows services and start this service if it's not started also make sure you do this whenever you don't have access to your TextBases. 3- When "Start session" comes up after a long time, please review the Selected Resources The number of selected resources could be a reason for the Start session slowness. The more resources selected, the slower it could be to launch the session. Make sure that you remove or deselect any unneeded TextBases. |
