Cumulative Update 4

• The Translation Memory list could not be retrieved from within Studio if a user had access to multiple thousands of TMs in GroupShare.
• Fixes in the TM update batch task settings:
  • Users can now decide if to use the SDLXLIFF user metadata, the GroupShare login or the TM User ID to update Created by and Changed by system fields. 
    When working with GroupShare and selecting TM User ID, we use the GroupShare login unless the TM User ID was changed and does not match the currently logged on user on the local windows machine.
  • Fields are no longer replaced in translation unit in translation memory when confirming a segment populated from TM during interactive translation.
• Newly created translation units during interactive translations now correctly store the GroupShare login
• Improved robustness of the Cumulative Update installer when IIS and some services are not installed

Cumulative Update 3

• In some scenarios the default entry class was not respected when adding new terms to server termbase.
• Hard filter for the filter condition "contains" did not apply correctly for server termbases.
• Full Text Search was not working when working with server termbases.
• Increased the robustness when deleting server termbases.
• Custom fields were not propagated when creating additional language directions
• Server-based Project Translation Memories were not being populated correctly in some scenarios
• Fixed a duplicate key issue when republishing a project to GroupShare.
• Project Files were not being shown for some large projects in the GroupShare website. 

Cumulative Update 2

• The Alphanumeric String option when creating or editing a GroupShare translation memory is now only active when connected to a GroupShare SP2 CU02 server. For all previous GroupShare versions this option is inactive.
• Added new import options to both the import and the Update Translation Memories batch tasks. These options address similar requirements as were available in SDL Trados Translator's Workbench when target segments differ (add new translation unit, overwrite existing, keep most recent, keep oldest). These options are available both at user interface and at API level.
  NOTE: to make use of this new functionality, SDL Trados Studio 2014 SP2 clients need to be updated to at least CU08 level. See KB Article 5375 for more details.
• Custom fields are not propagated when adding language pairs to multilingual Translation Memories
• Project Translation Memories do not get populated properly when using custom fields

Before Installing:

To avoid a server reboot, stop the SDL Services service before running the installer. If you have to reboot, you may have to manually start the SDL Server website in IIS after the reboot.

Single Server Installs:

This applies if you are updating a GroupShare installation where the TM and MultiTerm Server components of Groupshare are installed on a single computer.

Download the SDLGroupShare2014SP2CU04.zip file. This archive contains an executable file which automatically upgrades all necessary components in one pass.

Split Server Installs:

Apply the CU installer on every server that has TM Server, Project Server or MultiTerm Server middleware running.

How to make sure the Cumulative Update is installed?

To make sure the Cumulative Update is installed correctly, compare the build number of the different components (open the Control Panel > Programs and Features).
