Symptoms/Context
Your GroupShare licence determines how many users can use your GroupShare translation memories at the same time. This article aims to give a description of the details.
Resolution
The number of Translation Memory Server CALs determine how many user can work with your GroupShare translation memories at the same time.
  • Each user working on a project with one or more GroupShare TMs checks out one CAL.
  • The CAL is returned to the server and made available for others users after 5 minutes of inactivity (including cases where Studio is shut down or even crashes). Note: This means that if a user quickly shuts down and re-starts Studio, they may temporarily be consuming more than one license.
  • Accessing TM related functionality on the GroupShare website consumes one TM CAL. Again, the CAL is returned after 5 minutes of inactivity.
  • When logging into the GroupShare website, TM related statistics are displayed. Therefore, logging into the GroupShare website causes a CAL to be checked out (for 5 minutes).
To check the number of CALs currently checked out / available:
  1. Access GroupShare website using an Administrator login.
  2. Go to System Configuration > Licensing
