While WorldServer officially supports IDML files created in
Adobe InDesign versions CS4 to CC (Creative Cloud), sometimes you might encounter an error related to an unsupported version during segmentation. This happens because
Adobe regularly releases updates to its
Creative Cloud Suite. If an updated version has been released after the release of your
WorldServer version, that IDML CC file could still not be supported.
- In WorldServer

Currently (June 2024), IDML files created in Adobe InDesign CC version 19.0. to 19.4 are not supported in WorldServer's latest version 11.8.2. They are also not supported in Trados Studio 2022 SR2 (17.2.10.19084). If you want to process such a file, change the file type configuration to process unsupported versions.
Note: This information has been validated by RWS Support. However, we have found that in some cases, files in higher versions are processed correctly. It might be related to the content of the single files. Please test your IDML file in WorldServer and if you find one of the errors that can be fixed by changing the InDesign version or by adapting the Adobe InDesign CS4-CC IDML File Type configuration, try to apply the workarounds provided in the respective articles below:
