New Translation Provider: Language Weaver Cloud (Machine Translation Cloud)
Language Weaver Cloud, formerly known as Machine Translation Cloud, is now also available for pre-translation when creating projects directly in Trados GroupShare.
To add Language Weaver to your projects, use a project template that specifies this provider. Trados GroupShare will automatically detect it during project creation and apply machine translation results for users with access to the specified Language Weaver Cloud account.
For more information, see Setting up Language Weaver Cloud from the webUI
Set up Language Weaver from the webUI.
Dropped support for SQL Server 2016
Trados GroupShare 2020 SR1 CU5 introduces major improvements that are only supported by RWS Server 2017 or later. If you are using SQL Server 2016, upgrade SQL Server before installing this CU.
Language pair codes now added to TM export filenames (CRQ-24542)
When exporting a TM in the Trados GroupShare web interface, the resulting file will include the language codes of the applicable language pair in the filename.
An example: exporting a TM with the name „Main Science TM” and the language pair English (United States) to German (Germany) will by default create an TM export file with the name „Main Science TM_EN_US_DE_DE.tmx.gz”.
Language pair entries for TMs now sorted alphabetically (CRQ-24541)
The lists of language pairs in the TM settings and export dialogs for multi-lingual TMs are now sorted alphabetically.
New option for auto-creation of SSO users (CRQ-21616)
It’s now possible to define the default behaviour when a user of an SSO type logs in without being previously added to the Trados GroupShare system:
- Deny login. The user won’t be added automatically to the system ("CreateIdpUser" value set to „false”).
- Allow login and add the user to the system without any roles assigned. User will be added to the default organization, specified by "defaultUserOrganizationId". ("CreateIdpUser" value set to „true” | default organization can be set at "defaultUserOrganizationId").
This can be configured in the Application Service configuration file (Application.Service.exe.config | „CreateIdpUser” key).
Logs Viewer date filter now set to current day (CRQ-23416)
The Logs Viewer now by default filters all entries logged on the day of accessing the site.
New default log level for application services (CRQ-23414)
The default level of messages being logged for the Trados GroupShare services is now set to
Error.
Filters on specific project dates now optional (CRQ-14554)
The filters on the
Projects view/site is for Publishing Date and Delivery Date are now optional. You can now use
Clear to remove any previously set date values.
Added support for HSTS and secure cookies
You can now enable HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) and secure cookies to protect you from man-in-the-middle attacks or cookie hijacking.
To enable HSTS and secure cookies, go to
C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\SDL\SDLTradosGroupShare2020\ and run the following Powershell scripts as admin istrator:
EnableHSTS.ps1 and
SecureCookie.ps1.
REST API documentation exposed through Swagger
The REST API documentation is now available on the default Trados GroupShare port. This means that you no longer have to open specific ports to access this documentation.
The following documentation resources are available:
Removed FPS Service and related folder
Trados GroupShare now converts files for or from the Online Editor using the Application Service instead of using the File Processing Service. As a result, we have removed the File Processing Service and its related folder from the installation and data directories.
RabbitMQ Management plugin enabled automatically
The RabbitMQ Management plugin is now a mandatory Trados GroupShare prerequisite. To ensure support for core improvements introduced with this CU, the Trados GroupShare installer now automatically enables this plugin if it is not already available on your machine.
Apache Tomcat removed from the installer
For security reasons, Apache Tomcat is no longer part of the Trados GroupShare installer. If you want to install MultiTerm Online, download and install Apache Tomcat version 9.x.
Added .Net Framework 5 as a prerequisite
Microsoft .NET Framework 5 is now included as a dependency to support recent improvements made to Trados GroupShare Core Components services.
Resolved Issues
- The Trados GroupShare Application Service can stop unexpectedly when using MultiTerm termbases. This issue was fixed, ensuring that the unexpected terminations of the service stop reoccurring. (CRQ-24296)
- Adding new values to list field in Field Template fails: An internal server error occurred. "Sequence contains more than one matching element." This is now addressed. (CRQ-24193)
- The configuration file of the Trados GroupShare Execution Service (ExecutionService.exe.config) is missing the timeout settings section for the GroupShare Analyze and Translate task.
This is now available in the config file and the system administrator will be able to configure the timeout in the following section in the ExecutionService.exe.config file:
<section name="Sdl.BatchProcessing.Tasks.TranslateAndAnalyze.Properties.Settings" type="System.Configuration.ClientSettingsSection, System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" requirePermission="false"/>
<Sdl.BatchProcessing.Tasks.TranslateAndAnalyze.Properties.Settings>
<setting name="TranslateAndAnalyzeJobTimeout" serializeAs="String
<value>00:00:10</value>
</setting>
</Sdl.BatchProcessing.Tasks.TranslateAndAnalyze.Properties.Settings>
- When using the Trados GroupShare REST API endpoint “UploadFilesForProjectCreating”, multi-level subfolders weren’t supported by the relativePath parameter. This is now fixed, enabling to define more than one level of sub-folder paths. (CRQ-23554)
- The Multiple Translations Penalty option in a project is ignored when using the GroupShare Analyze and Translate Task. (CRQ-23440)
- The Analyze Files tasks, e.g. available during project creation or in Trados Studio, incorrectly sent all locked segments to be analyzed by the Translation Memory engine even if the Exclude locked segments from Analysis option was enabled in the project. In specific cases, this could attribute to an unnecessarily high duration time of the task.
This issue is now fixed, ensuring that the Analyze Files task operates more efficiently. (CRQ-23940) - Major improvements related to database operations for server-based TMs, which provide an overall more efficient way when using TM databases. In concrete cases, this can allow for a reduced load on the database system and an improved overall responsiveness when interacting with TM content.
- When typing relatively fast in the Online Editor, it was possible that changes made weren’t saved successfully and are lost. This is now fixed. (CRQ-23078)
- When creating a project that uses a specific task sequence, the Reporting Service may crash. This is now fixed. (CRQ-22910)
- It's now possible to create a project using GroupShare Rest API, even if the selected Project Template references TMs that are not available. From the UI, creating the project will not be possible if the Project Template references invalid TMs. (CRQ-22640)
- The focus on a highlighted comment in the Comments pane of the Online Editor is lost as soon as the user clicks the comment entry. This is now fixed. (CRQ-22483)
- When editing the termbase definition in MultiTerm Desktop, it’s possible to corrupt a termbase by deleting specific sub-fields. In effect, the Full-Text/Hard Filter search modes did not operate as intended.
This is now fixed. (CRQ-22164) - The Online Editor may not track changes performed with Track Changes enabled. This is now addressed. (CRQ-22144)
- It’s possible to create projects in Trados GroupShare via the REST API using unsupported special characters in the project name. This causes the projects not being available for opening with Trados Studio.
This is now fixed. (CRQ-21227) - It’s not possible to create sub-fields with the same name on different levels in MultiTerm termbases. This is now addressed. (CRQ-21068)
- When using the Online Editor, specific temporary files and folders created in the Trados GroupShare system aren’t cleaned appropriately after usage. This is now addressed. (CRQ-19618, CRQ-19348)
- When using the Dynamic Resource Access feature, it may occur that an incorrect organization name is mentioned in related project notification mails. This is now fixed. (CRQ-16246)
- Using the Edit/Translation feature in the WorldServer Browser Workbench may cause an unexpected termination of the Trados GroupShare Application Service. This is now addressed. (CRQ-14695)
- When using a server-based TM of Trados GroupShare and setting multiple TM filters in a project, may cause no successful matching results in e.g. Trados Studio. This is now fixed. (CRQ-13853)
- An error is shown in MultiTerm Online when selecting an entry in the search hitlist after changing the language direction. This is now fixed. (CRQ-12326)
- The due dates reported in a Files Due Soon notification mail may be incorrect. This is now fixed. (CRQ-93189)
- It’s not possible for the Trados GroupShare application to detach a project, if the project detacher is set to start before and end after midnight. This is now addressed. (CRQ-8223)
- When importing a TM on the Trados GroupShare website, it was not possible to get the import statistics. This is now addressed. (CRQ-5587)
