You can apply the new batch task and task sequence to projects that use server-based TMs AND are published to SDL Trados GroupShare.
In support of this feature, a new service named SDL Translate And Analysis Service on the SDL Trados GroupShare application server will become available after updating to CU09. - New functionality – New format for Due Date field: When SDL Trados GroupShare users are assigned files to work on, they automatically receive a notification email with Due Date information for project files.
To avoid any confusion related to the relevant time zone, the notification mails sent by SDL Trados GroupShare now contain due dates for the project or project phases in the following format:
Wednesday, 21 November, 2018, 07:15 AM, UTC +01:00

Resolved issues for SDL Trados GroupShare:
- Resolved an issue where connecting from SDL Trados Studio 2019 and SDL MultiTerm 2019 to SDL Trados GroupShare 2017 SR1 would fail for servers using a TLS configuration 1.1 or later. (CRQ-6433)

- It is now possible to access a translation project even if one deletes the user who checked out a file.
- The SDL Trados GroupShare web UI now works as expected when its language is changed to Russian.
- Fixed a specific issue with users previously logged in using the SSO feature not being redirected to the SDL Trados GroupShare Login screen once they log out of the application.
- Fixed an issue related to users previously logged in using the SSO feature not being directly redirected to the project they are assigned to work on when they try to access it through the email notification link.
Known issues:
- When using TLS to encrypt connections to Microsoft SQL Server databases, it is not possible for SDL Trados GroupShare to connect to all required databases. (CRQ-12665)
- After using "Apply Changes" in the SDL Trados GroupShare console, the SDL Editor Service is stopped and remains in a stopped state until manually restarted. (LTGS-3220)

SDL Trados GroupShare 2017 SR1 Cumulative Update 8 - Build 32756 (released 3rd of September 2018)
This installer is a full installer and can be used to install fresh, upgrade from GroupShare 2014/2015 latest CUs, GroupShare 2017 (Build 5111) and GroupShare 2017 SR1 CU07 (Build 20522)
NOTE:
- Java JRE is a new pre-requisites which will be installed automatically if necessary. If you are asked to reboot, please do so, the installer will automatically resume after reboot.
- Known issue: Translation and Feedback service are known to reserve up to 1GB of RAM each currently, we are working on reducing this footprint for a future Cumulative Update, customers not using the Online Editor can in the meantime disable these services if necessary without functional impact of the software.
- If you have changed the web.config, for example to enable HTTPS, this will be overwritten by the update. You can make a copy of the current web.config and replace it after the upgrade. We will look at improving this behavior for future updates. The default location of this file is C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Server\Platform\web.config
This update includes the following fixes:
New functionality: The Online Editor now displays Term recognition hits from server-based termbases that are used in the project.
New functionality: You can now create projects that prevent project file downloads for certain users. There is a new permission called
Secure Project File Download. Users assigned this permission are the only ones who can download the project files in SDL Trados GroupShare, SDL Trados Studio and SDL Online Editor. Furthermore, users in the Online Editor are prevented from copying text. This feature enforces customer data confidentiality by restricting data access to authorized personnel only.
New functionality: The Online Editor has been updated and now provides a better user experience based on customer feedback.
New functionality: Introduced a undo check-out mechanism to allow check-in of files when conversion from Online Editor to SDLXLIFF failed.
New functionality: Added the ability to select/de-select all status in Background tasks view
Performance enhancements for SDL Trados GroupShare:
- Optimized the performance of TM lookup operations, which provide a ~20% performance increase compared to CU07 and earlier.
- Optimized the performance of TM confirm operations when confirming segments.
- Significantly overhauled the TM Maintenance search algorithm, which is now significantly faster when not using RegEx. This now also prevents the timeout that caused an "An error occurred when searching the Translation Memory. The TM may contain invalid Translation Units." error.
Note: For this fix to apply you also need at least Studio 2019 or a future Studio 2017 CU as it involved changes on both ends. - Opening the settings page in SDL Trados Studio is now significantly faster
- SDL Trados GroupShare displays a neater web UI, by hiding dynamically generated libraries
- The default timeout for server farms was increased from 30 seconds to 10 minutes to avoid timeout issues with long-running operations.
- Updated the online documentation with supported browser information.
Resolved issues for SDL Trados GroupShare:
- Removed validation from due dates fields in assignment view to allow more flexibility
- Resolved an issue where searching for TMs by name in the Web UI would throw an error
- Optimized the way Studio sends files to GroupShare to prevent Application Service from locking the file in certain scenarios.
- Resolved an issue where the Default layout in MT Online would not show all available buttons
- Fixed an issue related to applying a soft filter instead of a hard filter when full text search is performed in MultiTerm.
- Resolved an issue where Studio was checking out too many MultiTerm Server CALs
- Temporary files no longer accumulate on the server when performing TM import/export operations, which means users do not have to free up space manually.
- Resolved an issue where importing TMX.zip into server-based TMs would fail in the Web UI.
- Added the possibility to import more than one TMX into server-based TMs as long as they are on different language pairs. The ability to concurrently import into the same LP will be enabled in a future update.

- Resolved an issue where a user without delete termbase permission was able to remove the termbase from the list of termbases
Resolved issues in the GroupShare installer:
- The Termbase Migration Wizard now has the option of just allowing the movement of termbases to an Organization. The wizard no longer forces users to assign/create roles upon termbase migration if this is not wanted. Users can then define permissions and access to termbases manually using the GroupShare Web UI.
- Resolved an issue where the Termbase Migration Wizard created a duplicate root organization in certain scenarios.
- Resolved an issue where installing MT Server module only would not allow you to login properly.
