When processing a file with the Regular Expression Delimited Text file type filter in Trados Studio, using the settings below, not all content is tagged as expected.

But the same kind of element, spread across multiple lines, is not tagged, even though the Multiline option is enabled in the filter settings, under Document structure.

Why is this happening?

The segmentation of a file, when using this file type filter, is determined by the opening and closing patterns selected under Document structure. As the default start of line(^)/end of line ($) patterns are used, the file is segmented after each line break.

The patterns added under Inline tags (as the name suggests) only tag content within these lines, already created based on the defined document structure.

This is why the "img" element in segment 11 is tagged, but the element spread across lines (3 to 10) is not tagged.
