I have exported a project from WorldServer as a WSXZ package. I have opened the WSXZ package in Trados Studio 2022 using the Open WorldServer Package button. I would like to share this project with other users by publishing it to Trados GroupShare. How can I do so by making sure that - after translation - I will be able to create a valid WorldServer Return package that can be uploaded back to WorldServer without issues? |
1- As a first step, open the WSXZ package that you have exported from WorldServer in Trados Studio using the button Open WorldServer Package. Note: you must have the WorldServer Components installed to have this button added to your Studio program. Please refer to this this article if you are unsure. 2- Once the WSXZ package has opened correctly, you will see your WorldServer project displaying in Trados Studio. Here is an example (note the Type column stating that it is a WorldServer package): 3- Now select your WorldServer project and publish it to Trados GroupShare. Enter the correct Groupshare server information, your username and password, the Location under which the project should be published and click on Finish: 3- The project will be published to GroupShare. Once the publication is completed, click Close. 4- Now your project is no longer a WorldServer project/package, but a Trados GroupShare Project: 5- Once you are ready with your translation, select your Trados GroupShare Project and click on Create Return package. Note: do not click on Create WorldServer Return package: if you do so, you will get an error message saying Please select a WorldServer project. The reason for the error is that the button Create WorldServer Return package is reserved only for WorldServer (Studio) projects while your project is now a Trados Groupshare project. 6- The Return project will be automatically created with the correct WorldServer package extension, which is *.sdlrpx.wsxz, and it will contain the translated SDLXLIFF file. This means that Trados Studio recognized that the origin of this project is from WorldServer and automatically creates a Return package in the correct format, even if you used the button Create Return Package and not Create WorldServer Return Package. 7- As a last step, import/upload your WorldServer Return package to WorldServer. |
