Solution 11. Go to
File > Setup > Manage User Profiles2. Select the option
Reset user settings3. Click
Next4. Select the option
Do not back up... and click
Finish5. Restart Trados Studio and go through the Setup wizard (it is normal to do this once after the steps above) and restart Trados Studio again
If the problem still occurs afterwards, repeat the steps above, close Trados Studio, and try step 3 from Solution 2.
Solution 21. Close Trados Studio
2. Go to:
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17 and rename
UserSettings.xml file to
old_UserSettings.xml3. Go to:
C:\Users\%Username%\Documents\Studio 2022\Projects and rename
projects.xml file to
old_projects.xmlIf you don't see one of the folders above, follow these steps to unhide it:
https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001137Note: You can also copy/paste the above paths in File Explorer in Windows, then press the Enter key on the keyboard, to reach those folders on your system. The
%username% part acts as a wildcard.
If the above solution does not fix the issue, please check whether the
Sdl.ProjectApi.xml file located under
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17 contains the correct path, where the Studio 2022 folder is currently saved.
If it still doesn't work, please do a full reset of Trados Studio
by renaming the
17 and
Studio17 folders from
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio.
