Download Failed error when upgrading apps in Trados Studio 2021

Scope/Environment
Trados Studio 2021
Symptoms/Context
If you are using Trados Studio 2021 with plugins from the RWS AppStore, it maybe that you receive a notification that your current app version has been updated.

When clicking on Update, you are then given a download failed error

Resolution
If you wish to update your plugins please do it manually.
 
  1. Locate: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages
  2. Remove the app that requires upgrading
  3. Download the latest app either from the RWS AppStore or directly in Trados Studio via the Integrated AppStore

Root Cause
This is a known issue what will be addressed in the next CU
