How to publish an unpublished Trados GroupShare project?

Symptoms/Context
The unpublished project is showing the "red dot" on top of the project icon in Trados Studio and the error message is displayed when trying to publish the project. The Publish project button is greyed out.
Failed to publish project.
Resolution
Identify the local project path and open the *.sdlproj in text editor (Notepad++)
Search for <SettingsGroup Id="PublishProjectOperationSettings"></SettingsGroup> and delete the information between these tags
Save

Root Cause
Once unpublished the project cannot be published again in the same location.
