Symptoms/Context

After upgrading to Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.10.9305 the following error message appears when attempting to open a WorldServer package:

Method not found: 'Sdl.MultiTerm.Client.Terminology.UI.IHitListSettingsSdl.MultiTerm.Client.Terminology.UI.HitListSettings.CreateFromTermbases(System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1<Sdl.Terminology.TerminologyProvider.Core.ITerminologyProvider>, System.String)'

Resolution

In order to resolve this, follow the steps below to download and install the latest WorldServer Compatibility Pack for Trados Studio:

1. Click here to access the SDL App Store

2. Click on the Download button

3. When prompted to select your Trados Studio version, choose 16.10.1894 (2021 SR2 CU10+) and click on Continue

4. Now the download will start. You will download the component in an archive called WorldServerComponents.zip

5. Make sure your Trados Studio 2021 SR2 is not running. Unzip the archive file and double click on the installer WorldServerComponents.msi and run through the installation, which will take few seconds.

6. Once the installation is completed, reopen Trados Studio 2021 SR2 CU10 . You will now be able to open WorldServer packages without issues.

Root Cause

Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.10.9305 (or newer) is not compatible with the old version of the WorldServer Compatibility Pack for Trados Studio
