Symptoms/Context

You're getting Passolo ERROR Cannot parse file. It depends on Microsoft NET version X which is not installed when updating the source string list for .NET 5.0 or higher
You might also see Warning - DotNetCoreManager cannot load DotNetCore COM server.

Resolution

In order to process .NET source files, the Passolo .NET parser requires the X86 version of the appropriate .NET SDK to be present.

For .NET 8 please install the latest .NET x86 SDK 8.0 from Microsoft
For .NET 7 please install the latest .NET x86 SDK 7.0 from Microsoft
For .NET 6 please install the latest .NET x86 SDK 6.0 from Microsoft
For .NET 5 please install the latest .NET x86 SDK 5.0 from Microsoft

Root Cause

.NET x86 version required to parse such files.
