This message is related to the Logi reporting engine we use in GroupShare for Dashboards and reporting. Your Trados GroupShare license is not affected in any way and will continue to work as normal.

To address this issue, ask your Trados GroupShare administrator to follow the instructions below.

Resolution

IMPORTANT:  These steps need to be carried out by a user who is an Administrator on the server with read\write access to the Trados GroupShare folder structure.

There are two ways to resolve this issue:

1. Instructions to upgrade the license automatically, by using  'GroupShare reporting license renewal.exe'

  1. Download the GroupShare reporting license renewal.zip file (attached to this knowledge article) on to the server where the GroupShare application is located and where the Web tier is installed (this is where the Web folder should be, under which the Reporting folder is located).
  2. Unzip the file and then right-click on the file: GroupShare reporting license renewal.exe and select: "Run as administrator".
  3. After this, the new lgx120102.lic file should be present in the Reporting folder by default this is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Server\Web\Reporting
  4. Restart Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Open command prompt (CMD) with admin rights
  • Type iisreset and then press Enter
  • Wait until the message indicates the IIS was restarted

IMPORTANT: After the .exe file is run, the user will be prompted with a message "GroupShare Reporting license renewal script executed successfully".
This message will be displayed if the script was run, but might not necessarily mean it copied the file successfully. For example, if the user does not have write/modify access to the Reporting folder.

2. Instructions to upgrade the license manually:

  1. In order to update the license manually, download the lgx120102.zip file attached to this knowledge article.
  2. Unzip the file and now copy the new lgx120102.lic file in the Reporting folder and overwrite the existing one.
  3. By default the reporting folder is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Server\Web\Reporting.
  4. In case GroupShare is installed in a custom location you will need to copy the file in that location (under Custom installation folder: \SDL Server\Web\Reporting).
  5. Restart Internet Information Services (IIS)
