SDL MultiTrans TMS
There is one external translator user that does not receive the free external translator license. When launching the MultiTrans client there is an error that no license can be found and the License Utility is launched.
There are a number of prerequisites in order for MultiTrans client to pick up a free external translator license. These are as follows :
There are two builds of MultiTrans, please ensure the MultiTransExternalTranslator build is installed.
Search and open the MultiTrans License Utility Tool and navigate to the License Server Locator tab. Configure the License Server Definition to @localhost as seen in the screenshot below.
Save and launch the client. On relaunch of the client you should receive a pop up alert stating that the external translator license has been activated.
The license will now be visible in the License Utility Tool, as the screenshot below.
Please note that if you have installed the wrong build of MultiTrans or if the machine which has MultiTrans installed is part of a domain then the free license will not be obtained.
If the above prerequisites have been followed but a license is still not obtained, please contact RWS support who will issue and activate a named license manually.
