Symptoms/Context

Upgrading the Content Datastore database fails with the following exception:

Unexpected error running Liquibase: Validation Failed:
     1 change sets check sum
          11.0/migration/broker.sqlserver_surrogate_key.xml::ea633a5f-b9b2-49ff-8eef-d5d5e8c83301::tridiondbmanager was: 8:77ee528e4e77aeca1088943010eff77d but is now: 8:018bba015ad9ab14ee87e05cfd73d8cd

Resolution

Solution: Specify the checksum to clear when prompted for it.

Procedure:

IMPORTANT: ea633a5f-b9b2-49ff-8eef-d5d5e8c83301 is an example and although the string may differ, the procedure is still applicable.

Depending on the currents state of the database upgrade, the following error might appear:

Unexpected error running Liquibase: Validation Failed:
1 change sets check sum
11.0/migration/broker.sqlserver_surrogate_key.xml::ea633a5f-b9b2-49ff-8eef-d5d5e8c83301::tridiondbmanager was: ...

The changeset id ea633a5f-b9b2-49ff-8eef-d5d5e8c83301 needs to be cleared.

So when running the script, the dialog would be something like this:

Database name. Default value is 'Tridion_Broker':
Comma-separated checksum to clear: ea633a5f-b9b2-49ff-8eef-d5d5e8c83301

After specifying the id hit enter and the database upgrade should work as expected.
