Trados Studio 2021
You received a return package from a translator and want to import it in Trados Studio, but the error Could not find part of the path... occurs.
If you unzip the package using any archiving software (e.g. WinRAR, 7-Zip), you will see that it contains only the target language folder, as in the screenshot below:
Normally a return package contains both a source and a target language folder.
You can take over the information from the return package manually, following the steps below:
1. Make sure Trados Studio is closed 2. Go to the folder where the project is saved on your computer and open the target language folder (if the translation is from English to German, as in our example, the target language folder will be "de-DE") 3. Overwrite the SDLXLIFF(s) from this folder with the corresponding SDLXLIFF file(s) from the unzipped return package (simply copy the files from the return package and paste them over the corresponding files in your project)
It seems that certain 3rd party translation tools (e.g. Smartcat) do not include the source language folder and its contents into the return package.
