When starting Trados Studio 2021, Trados Studio 2022 or Trados Studio 2024  you receive the error message: "Trados Studio has not finished removing the last uninstalled plug-in. Restart Trados Studio after closing all active instances."

Rename the Plugins folder from the below locations:

For Trados Studio 2021 
C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16

For Trados Studio 2022
C:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\17
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Trados\Trados Studio\17
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\17

For Trados Studio 2024
C:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\18
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Trados\Trados Studio\18
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\18



Note: When renaming the above folders, make sure Trados Studio is closed

The issue is caused by a plugin stored in the locations mentioned above.
Renaming the plugin folders will remove the plugins from Trados Studio. If needed , you will have to reinstall the plugins again from their saved location on your computer, from the RWS Appstore from your browser (https://appstore.rws.com/) or the integrated appstore from your Trados Studio.
