Symptoms/Context
When starting Trados Studio 2019 or Trados Studio 2021 on a Windows 7 computer, or when you are trying to sign in to Language Cloud, you get the following messages:
An error occured while sending the request.
or
Unable to reach Language Cloud servers Check your internet connection and firewall settings, then try again.
Resolution
1. Close Trados Studio 2. Download and run the attached TLS 1.2 reg registry, from the Attachments section below this article 3. Confirm you want the changes. 4. Re-open Trados Studio and login to Language Cloud
Root Cause
Windows 7 Operating System is missing a security protocol, because it is no longer supported or developed by Microsoft.
