"There is a problem connecting to the specified server, please see the error details for more information" error message when addind a GroupShare server in Passolo

Symptoms/Context

When trying to add a Groupshare server (Logs01.sdlproducts.com for example) in Passolo you get the following error message:

There is a problem connecting to the specified server, please see the error details for more information.
Please check that you have entered the correct server connection settings.

One or more error occurred.
Response status code does not indicate success: 401 (Unauthorized).

Resolution

To solve the issue you need to:

Log on the Groupshare server (Logs01.sdlproducts.com for example) via an internet browser
For the authentication use the Auth0
Change the password that you had by clicking on the righthand side circle with your initials
Click on Manage account and insert the new password
Go to Passolo and try to connect again with the SDL Authentication option with your SDL user and new password.

Root Cause

The user did not change the first password that he/she received.
