Tips for searching in Support Gateway

Question
You are offered two different types of search on Gateway: Search with Google and Search with Product Filter.
How can I find the most relevant answers on my questions or resolutions to my issues?
Answer

General tips

  • Very important: KEEP IT SIMPLE!
  • Use quotes for exact matches  à  "Oops!, something went wrong."
  • Use your error message  à  Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument.
  • Include the product name:   à  Cannot open components in Tridion Sites
  • Use the asterisk wildcard  à  Missing bookmark end tag with name: *
 

Tips for Search with Google

  • Use a hyphen to exclude words  à  filter -Studio
  • Use OR to search for multiple words at once  à  "Tridion Sites" OR "Tridion Docs"
