Recipients no longer receiving email notifications from Flow (e.g. When a project gets created, modified or completed).

There can be many reasons for email to not get to the intended recipients. If you have PM or Admin access in Flow you can use the Unsent Email utility which will show all notifications that failed to get sent from Flow. 

To see the notifications that failed to send go to Flow > Administration > Unsent Email under Utilities:

A list of areas to check when there are issues with email notifications:

• Verify the Unsent Email utility to see if the email(s) show there. It will show the email details along with the reason the email notification was not sent. Here is an example:

• Ensure the Mail Module is activated in Flow (Flow > Administration > System Parameters > Mail 
  • Other mail parameters like SMTP mail server address and credentials are also stored here

• If access to the Flow server is available, the maillog will show which email notifications have been sent or failed to send from FLOW. The current day maillog is usually located in \\Program Files\Donnelley\MultiTrans Flow 64\runtime\maillog. The previous day's zipped files can usually be found in \\Program Files\Donnelley\MultiTrans Flow 64\runtime\logs. Each notification will have it's own entry in the log and will show details such as:
  1. Date and time of email notification
  2. Recepient
  3. Subject
  4. Email status (SENT or NOT_SENT)

• SMTP logs, if accessible, would be the next place- Error sending mail 'com.beetext.flow2.mail.FlowMailMessage@a0d304c'. Error message: '454 4.7.0 TLS not available due to local problem - Error sending mail 'com.beetext.flow2.mail.FlowMailMessage@a0d304c'. Error message: '454 4.7.0 TLS not available due to local problem to check
• Also for more info or if there is no entries in Flow Mail logs (from above steps), you may want to check the Flow all logs (located here: \\Program Files\Donnelley\MultiTrans Flow 64\runtime\logs) and see if there is any entries similar as : "Error sending mail 'com.beetext.flow2.mail.FlowMailMessage@a0d304c'. Error message: '454 4.7.0 TLS not available due to local problem". If the case, you may need to validate if the TLS certificate on the SMTP server is expired and need to be updated. For this, you may need to ask your IT who manage the Flow Mail server.
• In some cases emails from Flow can be redirected to a Junk folder or get sent to the Other folder instead of the Focused folder of the inbox
