SDL MultiTrans TMS
When using the Translation Agent in the XLIFF Editor or the Add-In for Microsoft Office, there are no matches from Search Add-ons (e.g. DeepL, SDL MT Edge and others).
This also affects the pre-translation feature in the MultiTrans Client (requires a MultiTrans Expert license) and the pre-translation Flow Machine Task.
Check the configuration
1. Go to Preferences > Search Add-ons in the MultiTrans Client and make sure the appropriate search add-on is enabled.
If you'd like to retrieve a translation from a Search Add-on for every segment, enable the "Always get results from Search Add-ons" setting as well.
2. Make sure the Enable Search Add-ons option is ticked in the Administration Console. If this section is greyed out, you need to purchase and activate a MultiTrans Machine Translation Interface license.
3. Make sure you have done the appropriate setup for the individual search add-on as described in this documentation: Managing Search Add-ons
4. Consider increasing the Lowest fuzzy match % setting found in Options > Segment Matching. If there are any TextBase matches above this similarity threshold and you don't have the "Always get results from Search Add-ons" setting enabled, the search add-on will not be used.
Check the server's network connectivity
Retrieving results from a search add-on may require internet connectivity. Ensure that:
There are no firewall rules blocking traffic between your MultiTrans server and the translation API endpoint.
If you are using a proxy, ensure that the service account that is used to run the MultiTrans services has sufficient network access and is configured to use the correct proxy server.
There are several possible causes:
There are other matches retrieved from your TextBases/TermBases and you do not have the "Always get results from Search Add-ons" setting enabled in the Preferences section of the MultiTrans Client.
The search add-on is not enabled in the Administration Console or the Preferences section of the MultiTrans Client.
There is a network issue on the server preventing the MultiTrans services from accessing the translation API.
