SDL WorldServer - non breaking spaces entered in target segment in Browser Workbench do not display after exporting the Task as WSXZ package and opening it in SDL Trados Studio

Symptoms/Context

A translator has entered non breaking spaces into some target segments as part of a translation in Browser Workbench. For instance, a non breaking space is commonly added before a colon (punctuation mark) for in the french language. Here is an example:

However, once the Task is exported to a Studio (WSXZ) package and the package is opened in SDL Trados Studio Editor, those non breaking spaces no longer display:

Resolution

In the SDL Trados Studio Editor, enable the Show Whitespace Characters icon to be able to view non breaking spaces:

You will now see the non breaking space in the target segment:
