Create a Rewrite Rule in IIS
- Open a Remote Desktop connection to the server and run Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Expand your server in the list to reveal Application Pools, Sites and Server Farms.
- Right-click Server Farms and choose Create Server Farm...
- Call the server farm MTO and click Next.
- Type the FQDN in the Server address: box and click Advanced settings... and expand applicationRequestRouting.
- Change httpPort to 8080 and httpsPort to 8443 then click Add followed by Finish.
- When prompted click No to accept the Rewrite Rules dialogue.
8. Click on the SDL Server website then from the right double click on
URL Rewrite. You should see a long list of rules here already used by GroupShare.
9. Click on
Add Rule in the top right under
Actions then in the first screen choose
Inbound rule - Blank Rule and click OK.
10. Now create the rule like it is shown below and click
Apply.
Make sure this rule is the last one at the bottom of the list with rules. The pattern matches the folder name of the MultiTerm Online application in Apache Tomcat: *multiterm* - and is case sensitive. If you want to have a different URL and not servername/multiterm, you need to rename the folder in Apache Tomcat -
