Error "Service 'Sdl.TranslationStudio.Api.ProjectManagement.IProjectManagementService' could not be started" when starting Trados Studio

Symptoms/Context

When starting Trados Studio, you receive the following error message:

Service 'Sdl.TranslationStudio.Api.ProjectManagement.IProjectManagementService' could not be started

Resolution

Click on Start or Search, write " Windows Defender " and click on it.
Click on Virus & threat protection, then click on Ransomware protection.

There are two solutions available:

Allow Trados Studio through Controlled Folder access

or:

Disable the Controlled folder access as in the attached screenshot.

Root Cause

Windows Ransomware protection prevents Trados Studio from accessing different folders from your computer.
