Error message: "This termbase cannot be opened because it has been created with an unsupported version of Multiterm", when trying to open termbase in MultiTerm 2019

Symptoms/Context
When trying to open a termbase in MultiTerm 2019 or in SDL Trados Studio you receive the following error message:
This termbase cannot be opened because it has been created with an unsupported version of Multiterm
Resolution
Disable the sync with the application and then try to open the termbases again.
Root Cause
The customer is using a sync application (Google Drive or OneDrive).
