Symptoms/Context

Error:

Could not load file or assembly SDL.Enterprise2.Studio.Platform.Client when you're trying to add a termbase in Passolo Multiterm addin

This error occurs after installing the Cu15 for Studio 2017 SR1 or CU7 for Multiterm 2017
You can also see this error as Runtime Error! abnormal program termination when checking the Multiterm addin settings

Resolution

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio5
Copy the following 2 dll files:
- Sdl.Enterprise2.Platform.Contracts.dll
- Sdl.Enterprise2.Studio.Platform.Client.dll
Paste them in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SDL\MultiTerm14

Root Cause

The two dll's are missing from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SDL\MultiTerm14 after the updates are installed.

This will be fixed by development in the near future.
