Solution 1: Update GroupShare to the latest Cumulative Update
This issue is fixed in
GroupShare 2017 SR1 CU6 and above. Install the latest
GroupShare 2017 cumulative update.
Solution 2: (GroupShare 2017 SR1 CU5 and below)
Apply when no updates have been installed in January: Install Microsoft Updates from 13th February 2018
NOTE: Microsoft released a new security update/patch which fixes issues that where delivered with the security update from beginning of January 2018.
- For Windows Server 2012 R2: 2018-02 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows Server 2012 R2 for x64-based Systems (KB4074594)
- For Windows Server 2016: 2018-02 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4074590)
Solution 3: (GroupShare 2017 SR1 CU5 and below)
Might no longer be necessary (superseeded updates) if Solution 1 has been applied: Install Microsoft Updates from 17th January 2018

Note: In some situations it may be necessary to
reorganize your termbase after installing the Windows update.
Workaround: Replace 'Sdl.MultiTerm.Server.dll' on SDL Trados GroupShare server (GroupShare 2017 SR1 CU5 and below)
NOTE:
- Use the workaround only if you are unable to install the latest Microsoft Updates on the Windows Server
- The DLL is tested for SDL GroupShare 2015 and 2017
- Download attached Sdl.MultiTerm.Server.dll.zip file (it contains the file
Sdl.MultiTerm.Server.dll
) from the Attachments section below. - Extract the zip file on the local drive. Do NOT unzip the files onto an external hard disk or another partition.
- Replace the
*.dll
file within the MultiTerm folder on the Microsoft Windows 2012/2016 OS:
- GroupShare 2017 (SR1): C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SDL\MultiTerm14
- GroupShare 2015: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SDL\MultiTerm12
- Restart services from the SDL Trados GroupShare Console. More information can be found here:
