1- A WSXZ package is a package that is exported from WorldServer to a translator to perform a translation task with the file extension *.wsxz in Trados Studio.. A WSXZ export package contains several different files, all relevant to the WorldServer project it has been exported from:
- The segmented, bilingual assets that need to be translated in SDLXLIFF format.
- The portion of translation memory or translation memories (TM Group) associated with the project and that is relevant for that project. The value of the fuzzy matches exported with the WSXZ package is set per default to 75%. This means that - per default - no TM corresponding to Fuzzy Matches lower than 75% will be exported. However, this value can be easily changed in the user's account under Tools > Personal Preferences and by changing the value associated with Minimum score for matches when exporting: from 75 to any other value, i.e. 70 or 60.
- The portion of terminology database relevant for the specific project. After opening the WSXZ package in Trados Studio, the terminology will be visible in the Terminology Recognition window. Note: per default, WorldServer exports only relevant terms that have been approved. 'Proposed' terms - even if relevant for the project - are not exported. It is - however - possible to configure WorldServer to export proposed terms as well. This article explains how.
- Some metadata file providing information about the WorldServer environment (URL), the WorldServer version from which the package has been exported (for instance 11.5), the Fuzzy match settings, the TM setting (used to apply default penalties such as formatting penalties etc)
- The File Type information
2- After translation, the translator will create a Return package in Trados Studio to be imported to WorldServer. The Return package created by
Trados Studio will have the file extension
*.sdlrpx.wsxz. The Return package
will contain only the translated bilingual files (SDLXLIFF). The SDLXLIFF files include the relevant information needed for
WorldServer to match them to the project from which they were exported from. The Return package does not include any TM or TD. Upon import, the
WorldServer TM will be autmatically updated with the translated content included in the translated bilingual SDLXLIFF files in the Return package.
