Sometimes, customers are experiencing again issues for which they received a hotfix in the past.
Or a hotfix provided doesn't resolved the issue on a customer site when Support and Development can't reproduce the issue anymore.
Often this indicates the hotfix has not been installed as expected or has been overwritten when installing another hotfix for another issue.
To verify if there is a missing part, proceed as follows:
- Open for each microservice the lib\cd_common_util-8.5.0-xxxx.jar using 7zip and edit MANIFEST.MF in META-INF folder
- On your hotfix zip file proceed to the same folder
- Once both MANIFEST files are open compare them ( in Notepad++ you can add the compare plugin)
![Comparaison MANIFEST.MF](/servlet/rtaImage?eid=ka10z0000004Mo4&feoid=00N600000030BWb&refid=0EM0z0000001cTk)
As you can see in this case the file on right side shows an older Build-Date, Implementation -Version , TCD-Build-Version and Build-JDK relative to the left side.
In this example, the right side was installed on server when the left file came from hotfix delivery.
Validating this way, an administrator can confirm if the hotfix was installed or not.
Repeat the steps for each microservice delivered in hotfix.
We use cd_common_util jar file while this is part of every service hence easy to validate.
