Example for setting up a writer role for a workpool using workpool_1.
- Get all users off the system
- Using pcmadmin in singleuser mode (pcmadmin -dbase databasename -singleuser)
- Log in as sysadmin
- under Edit, select Roles/Tool Boxes
- The Roles/Tool Boxes list is displayed
- click NEW at the bottom to create Role in this example, “workpool_1”
- NOTE: be sure to write down/remember exactly what you named the role so the name of the workpool matches
- In the Template Tool Box field select the template to use, in this example, “writer”
- Click Create

his results in a new Role that has all the necessary tools associated with it because the new Role is based on the existing Role “writer” which has many tools associated with it. 9. Check the tools in your newly created Role to be sure you have all the tools required for the workpool
10. Close PCMADMINUsing CW logged in as sysadmin:
- Create new Work Pool object “workpool_1” on sysadmins desktop. Because the new Work Pool object has the same name as the newly created Role, the new Work Pool has the desired Role and desired tools associated with it.
- Add the desired users as members of the newly created Work Pool
- Create a new Content Routing Project with the default workflow.
- Edit the “writing” Task of the workflow of the newly created project by adding “workpool_1” as a Team Member
- Reuse a DM into the new Project
- Forward the DM to the “writing” task and assign it to “workpool_1”
- Logout of Contenta
Using CW logged in as a user that is a member of workpool_1:
- Find the new project and DM in the “workpool_1” Work Pool
- Right click on the DM and notice the various Arbortext tools are available
