There is a simple way to reset the Default template. As it gets re-created every time
Trados Studio is opened or closed, you should perform the below steps:
- Close Trados Studio
- Browse to the templates folder:
- SDL Trados Studio 2015: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Studio 2015\Project Templates
- SDL Trados Studio 2017: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Studio 2017\Project Templates
- SDL Trados Studio 2019: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Studio 2019\Project Templates
- SDL Trados Studio 2021: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Studio 2021\Project Templates
- SDL Trados Studio 2022: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Studio 2022\Project Templates
- Delete the file Default.sdltpl
- Open Trados Studio
You will notice that the file
Default.sdltpl was re-created automatically and that it has only 2 KB in size.
NOTE: * If you changed the default location, please rename the Default template from there.
* If you delete the file while
Trados Studio is open and then you close the application, the last known version of the file will be re-created and not the original, default one. In order for this procedure to work properly, you need to close
Trados Studio before deleting the
Default.sdltpl file.
