Workaround 1: Reset Passolo basic settings
If the above approach does not solve the problem, you can reset non project-related settings:
- Close all RWS applications.
- Go to the following folder:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Passolo 2022 and rename it to Passolo 2022_oldC:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\ Passolo Translator 2022 and rename it to Passolo Translator 2022_old
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\Passolo 2018 and rename it to Passolo 2018_oldC:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\ Passolo Translator 2018 and rename it to Passolo Translator 2018_old
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\Passolo 2016 and rename it to Passolo 2016_oldC:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\ Passolo Translator 2016 and rename it to Passolo Translator 2016_old
Workaround 2: Run a repair installation
- Close all RWS applications.
- Open the Control Panel:
- Windows Vista/7: Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Windows 8: Right-click on the screen at bottom-left corner and choose Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.
- Windows 10: Right-click on Start > Control Panel > Select View by: Small Icons > Programs and Features.
- Click/highlight the relevant RWS product from the list of installed programs, e.g. Passolo 2022, and click Repair or right click on it and then Uninstall/Change > Repair.
- Restart Passolo.
