NOTE: This will not work with Express, Freelance or Starter versions of Trados Studio.
- Select the Projects view on the left hand side of the screen.
- Select the project you with to create a package with.
- Click the Create Project Package on the ribbon bar.
- Choose the files you want to include in the package by ticking the box next to them. If you are sending the package to RWS Support, please click the Select All button. When you have finished, click Next.
- Click the Browse button and choose the folder you want to save the package to. Then click Next.
- If you have already set up a user for the person you wish to send the package to then go to step 11.
- Click the Users... button.
- Click the Add... button.
- Fill in the details of the person you wish to send the package to. You should at least fill in the Name: and Email: fields. If you are sending the package to RWS Support then please fill the details in as per the screenshot below. When you have finished, click OK.
- The new user you have created should now appear in the list. Click OK.
- Select the user you wish to send the package to in the Assign to: field and then click Next.
- Select the Additional Options you require and then click Finish. If you are sending the package to RWS Support for analysis, please select the options in the screenshot below.
- Wait for the package to be created. This can take some time depending on the number of files, the size of the TM, etc.
- When the package has been created, you may choose to Open Target Folder... to view the package file in its location on your hard drive, Send Package by Email... to create a new email with the package attached in your default email client, or click Close to return to Studio. If you are creating the package for RWS Support, please attach it to the case.
