In SDL MultiTerm Desktop when logging into SDL Studio GroupShare using Windows authentication the following message is displaying:

There are no termbases on the server that can be accessed with the current login. Try connecting with a different user id.

In SDL MultiTerm Desktop when logging into SDL Studio GroupShare using SDL authentication. Trying to edit a termbase entry/term the following message is displaying:

This entry is currently being edited by another user. Try again later.

Failed to refresh CAL


Furthermore, the SDL Studio GroupShare application logs show following errors:
 

#Sdl.MultiTerm.Server.DatabaseService.Exceptions.BaseException#User with Guid: 5263ee59-79f5-4f55-9790-c9fc9f002873 does not exist or is not connected.
#Sdl.StudioServer.Services.Core.Hosting.HostedServiceErrorHandler#This user has been disconnected
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80041976): This user has been disconnected

 

Resolution: Increase Maximum MultiTerm Session Length

1. Open the SDL GroupShare Console.
2. Click Settings.
3. Under Maximum MultiTerm Session Length (minutes), set a Time of User Inactivity to a number of minutes greater than 0 - e.g. 480 (default value).
4. Click Apply Changes.
5. On the left side, navigate to SDL Studio GroupShare > Services.
6. Click Restart Services.
   
   Note: This will make GroupShare unavailable for all users during a short period of time.

The setting for Maximum MultiTerm Session Length has been lost and is set to the (generally invalid) value of 0 minutes.
