Symptoms/Context
Which version of Apache Tomcat is required to support XPP Web Services 1.3? Can Tomcat version 7.0.55, 8.5 or 9 be installed?
Resolution
XPP Web Services 1.3 is fine for use with versions including Tomcat 9 and AdoptOpen JDK (build 11+28) for Windows. Testing as of February 2020 on Linux was done with Java 1.8.0.2222.
