During the installation of Trados Studio 2011 / 2014 on Windows 10 operating system the following error message is displaying:

An error occurred while downloading a required file. You may retry downloading the file or cancel setup.

1. Download the resource mentioned in the Details section of the error message

• For VCRedist2005SP1-KB2538242/vcredist_x86.exe click here
• For DotNetFX35SP1 click here 

2. Install the resource downloaded at step 1. 
3. Run the Studio 2014 installer again.

During the installation of SDL Trados Studio 2014, the installer is performing a check for the prerequisites. In case one or more components are not available, the installer automatically installs the missing components.
