For Tridion Sites 9.6 and later, how to enable Publisher debugging?

- Administrator has requirement to enable Publisher debugging.  
- After below referencing KB article, debug logging can be enabled by starting the Publisher in debug mode from console, but not from the Tridion Sites MMC. 
For Tridion Sites, how to enable Publisher debugging?
- When enabling Publisher debugging via the Tridion Sites MMC (Publisher Settings > Activate logging of publisher Actions > True), the tcmPublisher.log file is not written.
- Product version is Tridion Sites 9.6 or later.

As of Tridion Sites 9.6 and later product versions, the CM logging mechanism has changed.  Steps to enable Publisher debug are:

In %TRIDION_HOME%/bin/Nlog.config file, add these sections
1. In targets element

2. In rules element

<logger name="*" minlevel="Debug" writeTo="CMLog" />

3. Restart Publisher.
4. Log file will be written to the %TRIDION_HOME%/log folder, with file format CMLog_2024-11-21.log.

Update filepaths and filename as appropriate.

Output will be something like
