Symptoms/Context
We have exported one of our HTML Embedded Content 5.2.0.0.0 from WorldServer 11.7 to check its content in Trados Studio and modify if required. We have followed the normall process of selecting the HTML Embedded Content Processor and click on the Export button:

As a result, a *.sdlecsettings file is exported. Once we try to import it into the Embedded Content Processors section in Trados Studio, at first we receive the alert

The settings file contains settings for a file type that does not exist in your system. Would you like to create a new file type based on these settings?

When we select Yes, this error appears and the configuration cannot be imported:

File Type Already Exists
The file type cannot be added, another file type with the ID 'Html embedded Content 5.2.0.0.0' already exists in the list.

How can we avoid this error and be able to import our *.sdlecsettings file into Trados Studio?

Resolution
There are 2 workarounds to address this issue:

Workaround 1- After exporting your HTML Embedded Content Configuration from WorldServer 11.7.x, import it back into your WorldServer environment. After the import, export it again. Now try again to import it into Trados studio 2021. The export/import action will update the content of the embedded content configuration file, making it compatible/recognizable by Trados Studio. The import into Trados Studio should now work.

Workaround 2- Before importing the *.sdlecsettings file into Trados Studio, remove the existing HTML 5 Embedded Content Processor by selecting it and clicking on Remove.
Once the existing HTML 5 Embedded Content Processor is removed, you will be able to import your *.sdlecsettings file and modify it as needed, as displayed in this small video:

Root Cause
Usually, you should be able to import your *.sdlecsettings correctly in Trados Studio and add it to the existing HTML 5 Embedded Content Processor. The error

The file type cannot be added, another file type with the ID 'Html embedded Content 5.2.0.0.0' already exists in the list.

probably happens when the *.sdlecsettings file has been exported from an Embedded Content configuration created in earlier versions of WorldServer.
