For Tridion Sites 9.0, will having unneeded data in the state store database tables contribute to high memory consumption on the CD servers?

Symptoms/Context
- Administrator sees high memory consumption on the staging servers for the Deployer and Content services.

- Administrator has configured these services with the following JVM options
$jvmoptions = "-Xrs", "-Xms512m", "-Xmx2048m", "-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8" $jvmoptions = "-Xrs", "-Xms512m", "-Xmx2048m"
- High memory consumption is temporarily mitigated after restarting services.
- Several hundred rows were found in both the Staging and Live state store databases, for tables EXECUTION, EXECUTION_PROPERTY, PIPELINE, and STEP.
 
Resolution
Issue looks to be resolved after applying hotfix CD_11.00.14838.  See KB article Where can I find hotfixes for SDL Tridion Sites/Web?
