Term Recognition in Studio and Fuzzy Search in MultiTerm Desktop are not working

Symptoms/Context
You notice that Term Recognition in SDL Trados Studio is not working. But when you switch to Termbase Search and perform a search, the term is found. In MultiTerm Desktop, the Fuzzy Search is not showing any results, while the Normal Search works fine.
Resolution
On the GroupShare server:

1. Start - Run -> dcomcnfg
2. Expand Component Services -> Computers
3. Right click on My Computer and choose Properties
4. Go to the COM Security tab
5. Click on Edit Limits under Access Permissions - the GS Service account must have Allow for both Local Access and Remote Access - if it doesn't, add it
6. Click OK then click on Edit Limits under Launch and Activation Permissions - same requirements - GS Service Account must have Allow for Local Launch, Remote Launch, Local Activation, Remote Activation.
7. Click on Edit Default in both sections - same requirement as above
8. Under Component Services -> Computers -> My Computer -> DCOM Config -> SDL Multiterm Matrix .... - right click on it Properties -> Security . Click on Edit on all 3 sections there and add the GroupShare service account and Allow for all.
9. It may be required to re-organize the termbase(s) - especially if they were reorganized or terms were added while above permissions were not set correctly.
Root Cause
This is caused by the fact that the GroupShare service account does not have the required DCOM permissions.
